So my dealership told me that I needed to replace the electric waterpump and thermostat so  I had a friend replace it and when I start it it still chugs out dies dont know why or what to do

Vehicle

Was the car doing that before the water pump was replaced?

A bad water pump it is not going to make your car die. The car will run fine when cold but then will start to overheat.

Can you share some of the symptoms before and after the water pump was replaced?
